Your child will have come home this past week with information regarding our School Council’s fundraiser for this year. Last year’s fundraising efforts enabled all our new classrooms to be fully equipped with media carts, all primary classrooms with iPads, as well as several new laptops and desktops for use in junior and intermediate grades. The school was also able to buy new athletic team uniforms, fund library reading programs and install an ecologically friendly water filling station on the first floor. Your contributions make a difference! This year we will concentrate our efforts on purchasing additional technology in the primary grades and refreshing aging laptops at both the junior and intermediate levels. We are also hoping to add another water filling station on the second floor.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2015 students will be on their feet, participating in an amazing Dance-a-Thon! Our goal this year is for every student to raise a minimum of $10 in pledges. For every $10 dollars raised, students will be issued a ticket which they will place into a draw to win a prize. The more money the student raises, the more tickets her or she accumulates giving them more chances to win! Some of the fabulous prizes include: an iPad Mini, an instant camera, an American Girl doll, Maple Leaf tickets, a sports extravaganza bundle, and a weekend fun package.
Please help the school and submit all cash and cheques inside your child’s Dance-a-Thon pledge envelope by Tuesday, February 24th. For more information, please see the original letter. We thank you for your generous support of the school!
