You may have noticed that the ‘Peace Garden’ at the north-east end of the school, long overgrown with weeds, has been revitalized. Through the efforts of our school’s Eco-Team and the hard work of many staff and students across the school, the garden has been weeded, tilled, resoiled, and replanted. We hope this supports not only our students’ learning about caring for plant life, but also contributes to the ongoing beautification of our school.
We are hoping to continue bolstering the garden with some additional, colourful annuals and make the Peace Garden an attractive part of our school’s frontage. We invite any interested ‘green thumbs’ from our community to supplement the garden with any donated plants that might flourish in this partially shaded corner. Feel free to come out, get your hands dirty, and add a plant … our garden is the community’s garden! We will ensure that plants are watered daily and throughout the summer.
