We look forward to seeing everyone at our Building Nature Connection Eco-Fair this Thursday, April 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
One of our community partners at the upcoming event is Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES), a non-profit organization that handles end-of-life electronics in a safe, secure and environmentally-sound way. Since the program has begun, 67 million devices have been diverted from landfills, helping to recover and recycle valuable resources that can be put back into the manufacturing supply chain.
We will be housing collection bins at Bakersfield P.S. in our main foyer from today through May 26th, where you can drop off old electronics to the program without adding to landfills, helping to recycle for a cleaner tomorrow.
What is accepted? Most unused or unwanted electronic qualify, such as: display devices, monitors, televisions, desktop computers, portable computers, computer peripherals, printing/copying/scanning and multi-function devices, telephone and telephone answering machines, cellular devices and pagers, home theatre equipment, aftermarket vehicle audio and video devices, as well as portable and home image/audio/video devices.
OES reminds everyone to wipe all drives and SIM cards before disposing of items. For more information on protecting your privacy in disposing of electronic devices, visit here.
Please being in your old electronics and help us support a greener tomorrow!
