Summer Opportunities for Students

While Spring has only just arrived, it’s not too early to think about summer opportunities for students.

The York Region District School Board Summer Institute is a program that offers academic, recreational and athletic programs and activities with intentional links to the Ontario Curriculum for children and youth entering Senior Kindergarten to Grade 8.  Many students take advantage of these summer recreational and learning opportunities, which run weekly sessions from July 3rd through August 10th, 2018.  For more details, please visit the Summer Institute web-page.

As well, this summer the York Region District School Board is offering a summer school program for students currently in grades 6 (new), 7 and 8.  Offerings include grades 6, 7 and 8 reinforcement programs in literacy and math, as well as grades 6, 7 and 8 reinforcement programs in literacy and math for students with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) and for English Language Learners. More details can be found here.  Registration for these reinforcement programs is done through Career Cruising.
