Busy Times!

Today at Bakersfield was jammed full of awesomeness! Our Primary students have been busy getting ready for tomorrow’s concert (parents welcome at either the 1:45 or the 6:30 show).

This morning, our YRDSB curator, Ms. Emonson, was in the school to document the coloured photos shellacked to the wall in the main entrance. This piece of art was done as part of the school opening in 2003. Unfortunately, the pictures are ripping and peeling. Our curator felt that it would be best to document the work digitally and remove it from the wall for storage. We will display the documented version in the front hall going forward. Please bear with us while we are ‘under construction’.

Electra was in today and spoke to our students about conservation of energy as well as safety. He was very engaging and knowledgeable!!!

TrademarkED was in today to speak to the grade 7’s about developing our own personal brand. The speaker talked about the importance of both our face to face and our online presence. He also reminded students about handling mistakes with integrity. We were very engaged and are looking forward to working on our ‘personal brands’ in the coming weeks.
