This Week at BPS

Happy Snowy Sunday to our BPS community!  The Anishinaabe way of knowing this time of year is a story of Zeegwung (Spring) putting Biboon (Winter) to sleep…much like getting a toddler down for a nap – we are hoping that Spring will be able to rock Winter to sleep quickly so that our field will dry out, the grass will take root, and we can move away from ‘Tarmac only’ recesses!!

Tomorrow – April 1st – Scott Graham is coming to speak to our students in Grades 1-8.  He believes in the importance of helping children develop the characteristics of a leader. These characteristics include: integrity, initiative, respect, responsibility, trust, honesty, resilience, the desire to work hard and to be compassionate.  Kids4kids.ca His Lunch Time program for students will begin next Monday for those signed up, and there is still space for all interested.

TUESDAY APRIL 2nd This day is World Autism Awareness Day.  Those who would like to wear BLUE to raise awareness are welcome to join us.

THURSDAY APRIL 4th – Wear your COLOUR house colours!  We are going to be having an assembly with a friendly ‘minute to win it’ competition between the houses and some learning around what makes us each unique and essential to the bigger picture at Bakersfield.
