We have a lot going on in the next few weeks and month and want to keep you in the loop!
Many of our classes have had Scientist in the schools in to do hands on learning over the last few weeks- if you haven’t heard when your kids have them, stay tuned! Be sure to follow your kids classes on Twitter or Instagram- links on the blog homepage.
Oct 30– Grades 6-8 student Mental Health and Well-being conference at Maple HS. We have four delegates attending.
Oct 31– Black and Orange Day
Nov 1– Grades 7/8 Dance and Games afternoon. Snacks will be for sale to raise money for graduation. This event is hosted by a group of our own students.
Nov 4– School Council Forum for school council executive
Nov 7– Holocaust Survivor Speaker- we have a speaker coming to speak to our older students at 9 a.m. Members of the community are welcome to attend.
Nov 7– Family Movie Night – Trolls and Jumanji will be playing. Food is for sale on cash online. We are accepting socks- odd or paired to support Soctober and Odd Sox charities!
Nov 11– Remembrance Day- we will have an assembly at 11:00 a.m. Community Members are welcome to attend.
Nov 14– Moms Pantry orders available at the school for pick up. If you placed an order, please come that afternoon/evening to pick it up as most items are freezer/fridge items. Letters will be sent home.
Nov 14/15– Parent Teacher Interviews- more details of how to sign up in Edsby will be coming home next week.
