ECO CONTEST AT BAKERSFIELD P.S.
In the month of February, we had a contest for making an ECO Poster to promote care for the environment. Our focus was on reducing plastic waste in our school and community, but many students created posters sharing a more global perspective about how to Save the Earth. We are very Bakersfield Proud that more than 50 students entered the contest. We picked a first place winner from each of the Primary, Junior and Intermediate Divisions. They received tickets to Imagine Cinemas as their prize. The winners are: Liora from the Primary Division. Jesse and Kol from the Junior Division and Alyssa from the Intermediate Division. Our second place winners are: Barbara, Ashley and Anya, Vi, Jaya, and Emily (group effort).
The winning posters will be displayed in the Kindergarten Hallway near the main entrance. Please come and see our display of the winners. All the other posters will be displayed around the school to promote Earth Month in April. Thank you to all the students in our school community who participated in our ECO Poster Challenge!
