Good Morning BPS Families!
Today marks the official first day of March Break and we hope that everyone is healthy and happy. This week at school, our OUTSTANDING Caretaking Team are hard at work doing a thorough clean of the building. We also have a team replacing our phone lines and PA system to make sure we have what we need in school to keep up with changing technology. Bakersfield has been very fortunate the last few years to have the updates that we have had – including the Tarmac Painting that our School Council supported.
Registrations for next year have been coming in at a steady rate. If you have a child at home that is school aged for next year and you haven’t yet registered, please reach out to us so we can have this information as we plan for next year. If you have a neighbour or friend in the area that hasn’t registered, please share this information with them. Similarly, if you are moving out of the area, please let us know. The better prepared we are in advance, the smoother our start will be for everyone!
At this point, we are planning to return on April 19th to in person learning. Lots is planned for learning and for school spirit, so stay tuned! If there are further updates from the government or public health, we will communicate with you as soon as we have details.
We are just a few days away from having our Covid-19 cases at Bakersfield cleared and hope that we can stay ‘clear’. If you need to speak to us about Covid-19, please email krysten.cameron@yrdsb.ca or brett.mclean@yrdsb.ca and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Wishing everyone a healthy and happy break!
