We made it!
Thank you for a relatively smooth arrival this morning, despite the snow and the added work of the online school screening tool. We are working with the City of Vaughan who has assured us they are prioritizing sidewalks and areas around the school. The sidewalks on Mistysugar are not very clear, as well as some of the surrounding streets, so we ask that you continue to be extra vigilant when travelling by car or walking to and from school. Thank you for your patience in the drop off loop- having bags ready to pass out to students to eliminate unecessary exiting of vehicles will help speed everything along…we know today there were extra bags as we bring back computers and indoor shoes etc.
Please return borrowed technology if you are back in person. We need these devices in class more than ever. As classes have hybrid learning happening, we need all the devices to help integrate programming. We are cleaning them and getting them back in to circulation as fast as possible.
Indoor shoes are a necessity for this time of year. Please make sure that you send shoes for your child(ren) to wear in class and in gym. For younger students it may be necessary to send an extra pair of socks/pants if they get wet while outside playing. We do go outside to play at recess for 20 minutes and at lunch for 30 minutes, as long as temperatures are above -20 with the windchill.
Thank you for your patience, partnership and positive attitudes! We are going to have a great finish to this week and be fully back in to the swing of things in no time.
As always, should you need to speak with us, please contact us at the school. Have a great day today!
