Hey BPS families and community! We have lots going on here at school and wanted to share some highlights with you. Thank you for your ongoing interest and support of what we are doing. As always, if you have any questions or want more information, please reach out to us at the school.
Quick reminder that Cooking with Cameron is this Thursday from 7-8pm. We are making Vanilla Rainbow Sprinkles Cake together. Any sprinkles will do- they don’t have to be rainbow if you don’t have them. Ingredient list is found at the end of this Blog post. A link to join will be blogged on Thursday.
April was Autism Acceptance month. Our students learned about Autism and had a special assembly with friends from Centre for Dreams.
Our grade 7&8 students have started playing organized sports again at school. We had a short but action packed volleyball season that ended with an area tournament last week. Congratulations to our players on a job well done!
BPS participated in a Skills Ontario Challenge
EQAO is a provincial assessment for students in grades 3 and 6. Our students will be writing the assessment the end of May this year. The assessment, written over a few days, consists of assessments specifically in Literacy and Math. More information will be going home to families with students in those grades later this week.
Our Outdoor Space is important to us at school and as a community. The grass playing field is finally opening up again for us this week and students will be excited to spread out and play various games and sports both on the field and tarmac. DOG OWNERS in the community are reminded to please pick up after your dog and not leave dog poop on our property which then gets tracked in the school hallways and classrooms. It is disgusting and unappreciated. We love dogs, but not dog poop. In addition, our kindergarten fenced play yards are NOT off leash dog parks. Please keep your dogs out. Thank you!
Treat Tuesdays and Thursdays have been a huge hit! Our grade 8’s are grateful for your support of their graduation fundraiser. Please see Cash Online for more information.
