What a great week we had here at Bakersfield! It was a short week, but a very full one.
Colour House Day – if you follow us or many of our classes on Instagram, you will have seen the fun we were up to! We hope your kids had a great day and are excited for our next opportunity to be with our colour houses. If you have any feedback or any questions, please reach out to your teachers or to the office.
Lunch – Our pizza and sub lunches started this week and things ran smoothly and the food was great! If you missed ordering and still would like to order, or if you want to order and money is a barrier, please contact the office. Our School Council is looking into lunch options for other days for interested families.
Activities around the school – Next week on October 18th we will be cheering for our Cross Country Team as they head off to the Area Tournament. Our Intermediate Volleyball try-outs are wrapping up and the season has begun! Intermediate Choir started this week as well as the Primary Choir. Did you know that we had 41 students sign up to be Library Leaders? WOW!!! Vaughan Fire was here speaking with some of our Primary Students about Fire Safety and Prevention. We had a firedrill today and everyone did a fantastic job!
Special THANK YOU to our Colour House Ambassadors for thier work this week and to the student leaders who are working on SOCKTober.
School Start-Up Forms – Many families haven’t submitted the forms, so they will be sent home to those families next week. Please complete them ASAP and send them back to school. These forms allow students access to the technology to school, let us know if they can participate in special activities at school and other valuable information.
