Welcome back to school! We hope that each and every one of you have had a positive and healthy start to 2023 and are looking forward to what lies ahead. We had an incredible wrap up to school in 2022 with a fun week of spirit days and a very energetic Colour House assembly (see pic below). One thing we will be doing at school is reflecting on our accomplishments and our next steps to help set goals for a successful finish to Term One and an amazing start to Term 2. We continue to stress for our students, staff, and community members that we each bring something unique and important to the bigger picture, and hope that people continue to learn more about themselves and what makes them awesome.
A special thank you to Mr. McLean and the staff at Bakersfield who kept things up and running while Ms. Cameron was off on a short medical leave. She is now officially back to school and looking forward to catching up and connecting with everyone. So many great things were happening that it may take a few days before we are all caught up, but should you need to reach anyone in the office, please make sure to call or send an email so that we can get back to you in a timely manner!
Although our school calendar: https://bakersfieldps.com/calendar/ is not fully updated yet, we do have pizza and sub lunches this week. Reminder that our new lunch program DLites starts next week on Wednesday.
Other upcoming dates:
- Monday January 16 – School Council
- Thursday January 19 – Family Movie Night – more details to come
- Friday January 20 – PA Day, no school
- **Make sure to check the calendar regularly**
We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone back tomorrow. Please remember to drive safely in and around the school zone and make sure your kids are dressed to be outdoors for 40 minutes of recess/lunch recess! Set your alarms and don’t hit snooze because we will be starting promptly at 8:55 a.m. and the staff are EXCITED!
