Don’t forget our Eco Team – it’s not too late to send in batteries, dried out markers or clothes for others to use! Stay tuned for more information from all of these groups as they keep working hard and having fun!
This week our student Inclusion Ambassadors have planned some fun spirit days. First up – anything but a backpack day! Pack your school things creatively and wear your school colours! On Wednesday we will also be talking about International Women’s Day. This is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women worldwide. The theme for this year is DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.

Virtual School Update from YRDSB: The Ministry of Education (MoE) mandated for the 2022-2023 school year that school boards were to provide a virtual learning option for students. While the YRDSB continues to await specific direction from the MoE, the Board plans to proceed with a virtual learning option for the 2023-2024 school year. This will also align us with the decisions of other school boards. Please note that due to limited enrolment, French Immersion programming will not be offered in EVS in 2023-2024. Also, families currently enrolled in EVS are being asked if they wish to remain enrolled next school year. Students currently attending in-person schools may contact their home school to request a transfer to the Elementary Virtual School for the entire 2023-2024 school year.
